True Grit Blackwood River (WA)
True Grit at Linga Longa Estate on the Blackwood River is a military-inspired obstacle course event held across a weekend in October 2026. The event offers two primary course lengths and an Elite category, each run over natural terrain with obstacles built for this location.
Participants can choose from these distances:
- 10km Elite Timed competitive wave, 16+ years, podium prizes for top three.
- 10km Classic course, 16+ years.
- 5km Shorter course with 15+ obstacles, 12+ years.
The 10km course typically includes 30+ obstacles such as carries, rope climbs, monkey bars, pontoon bridges and tyre walls. Course lengths are a guide and may be one to two kilometres longer than advertised. There is usually at least one water station near the halfway point. All finishers receive a finisher t-shirt and an electrolyte drink; an optional finisher beer is offered on completion. Medical treatment is available on site.
On-site camping options are offered, including assigned premium caravan spots and open general camping; general spaces are allocated first-come, first-served. Toilets and showers are available with hot water each evening to the following morning. Parking is provided for a fee with designated areas for mini-buses and coaches. Large teams are supported with group entry options; solo participants can join specific waves to run with others. Spectators attend free with prior registration.
