Trot It Like It’s Hot Charity Turkey Trot : Augusta, KS
The event is on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 414 State Street, Augusta, KS 67010. It is the first annual Augusta Turkey Trot. Distances offered:
- 5k
- 1 Mile
Entry fees listed are $40 for the 5k and $30 for the 1 Mile (reduced to $25 for ages 1 to 17). A T-shirt is included with registration. The race is chip timed and time is recorded when a participant crosses the starting line. Participants are asked to wear their bib on the outermost layer of clothing.
Course, rules and awards
The course will be marked with directional arrows and cones. Volunteers will be positioned along the route and a photographer will be at the finish. GoAugusta will host an annual Cookie Crawl after the race. The following are not allowed on the courses: bicycles, roller skates or blades, skateboards, animals, and Segways.
All race proceeds will benefit Ignite Augusta. Ignite Augusta is a non-profit created to provide a drive-through light display in Garvin Park of Augusta, KS. Age group awards are given for men and women in these groups: 55 and up; 41 to 54; 19 to 40; 18 and under. The 1 Mile fun run awards top three overall medals.
