The Tropical Christmas Wine Run 5k is a chip-timed 5k run/walk held on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at Tropical Winery, 2678 US 27 S, Lake Placid, FL 33852. The event is timed and scored by J3 Timing and results are posted online. The race is open to ages 1 to 99 and the listed registration price is $40 with a reduced rate of $25 for ages 1-20.
What registration includes
Registration includes a short sleeve red T-shirt (option to upgrade to a long sleeve black shirt for an additional $5), a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a wine glass shaped finisher medal, a chip-timed race bib, and a pour of wine. Free race photos are available for download. Minors receive a discounted registration that includes a shirt, medal and bib but do not receive the wine glass or a glass of wine.
Awards, logistics and other details
Top three finishers male and female in each age group receive custom age group awards. Age groups are in 10-year increments (for example 1-9, 10-19, 20-29, up to 80 and over). Packet pick-up is on race morning only. A virtual participation option is available with packet pickup or packet shipment for an extra fee. The event names Nik's Wish as its charity partner.
