Trinity Fort to Forge 5k/10k Run/Walk
This event is a community run and walk held in Trinity, Newfoundland at 2 Dock Lane. It is scheduled for September 26, 2026 and offers multiple distance categories for different ages.
The course follows the coastline and finishes in the town centre of Trinity. The 10 km starts at Fort Point Lighthouse and the 5 km starts in Dunfield. The route is described as moderately challenging with a few long uphills and noticeable downhills.
Published fees list Adults at $55.00 and 16-and-unders at $20.00. Registration includes an ice cream sandwich finisher's medal provided by Sweet Rock Ice Cream, a t-shirt guaranteed for registrations completed by midnight September 1, transportation to the starting line, water and bananas at the 5k water station and at the finish, and entry in draw prizes. A processing fee applies and refunds are not issued for cancellations or no-shows. Registration fees cover event operating costs so donated funds go to the charitable causes.
Fundraising is part of the event. Donors or fundraisers who give or raise $25 or more receive a custom neck gaiter with their race bib. Funds support the Trinity and Area Volunteer Fire Department and the Fort Point Lions Club; the event has previously raised more than $20,000 toward those organizations.
