Trifest for MS
The 15th annual Trifest for MS takes place over Labor Day weekend in Bentonville, Arkansas. This three-day multi-sport event features a variety of triathlon distances and formats for athletes of different ages and experience levels. The weekend schedule includes youth races, adult sprint distances, and an Olympic-level challenge.
Friday Events The weekend begins with the Youth Triathlon, which also includes a paratriathlete division. Participants are categorized by age:
- Ages 5-8: 25-yard swim, 1-mile bike, and 0.5-mile run.
- Ages 9-15: 75-yard swim, 2-mile bike, and 1-mile run. An adult "super super sprint" is also held on the same course as the older youth category.
Saturday Events The morning features the Olympic F1 Triathlon, consisting of an 800-meter swim, 13-mile bike, and 5k run, followed immediately by a 700-meter swim, 13-mile bike, and a second 5k run. An Aquabike option is available for those completing the swims and bike legs only. The afternoon features the Sprint Triathlon, which includes a 400-meter swim, 13-mile bike, and a 5k run.
Sunday Events The final day focuses on the Super Sprint Triathlon. This distance includes a 200-yard swim, 3.75-mile bike, and a 1-mile run.
Special Challenges and Divisions Participants can engage in the Trifesta Challenge or the Mini Trifesta, which involve completing multiple races over the weekend. A corporate relay challenge and a paratriathlete division, limited to 15 racers per event, are also integrated into the schedule. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
