About the race
Triathlon ÉPIQ is an extreme triathlon held in the Canton de Potton on 26 September 2026. The event combines open-water swimming in Lac Memphrémagog, long-distance gravel cycling on local roads and some forest trail sections, and running on gravel roads and mountain trails that include the ascent and descent of Mont Owl's Head. The organiser describes the event as semi-autonomous and places the race in a natural environment with a high level of difficulty. The published water temperature is 24 C.
The 2026 edition offers several race formats including triathlon and duathlon distances, team relay options, and a new standalone climb called Montée ÉPIQ. The event also specifies course elevation for some formats and provides GPX files and a technical document for the routes.
Triathlon ÉPIQ is certified ÉcoTQ Argent by Triathlon Québec and the Quebec council for eco-responsible events. It is structured as a community event: operational surplus will be donated in full to the Centre d'action bénévole de la Missisquoi Nord, and each participant commits to a fundraising obligation.
