Tri-Quest - Bike Paddle Run
Tri-Quest takes place at Muriel Lake M.D. Park in Bonnyville. The event combines three sequential segments: biking, paddling, and running. Competitors may enter as solo participants or as teams.
The course includes:
- 9 km bike
- 3 km paddle
- 4.5 km run
Categories include Adult (18+), Youth (12–17), and teams of 3 or 4 members. Teams may be all male, all female, or coed. Mixed youth/adult teams are classified as Adult Teams.
Equipment and safety rules: e-bikes are not permitted and an approved bike helmet is mandatory. Allowed watercraft are canoe, kayak, or paddle board propelled only by paddles; wearing a personal flotation device on the water is mandatory. A safety boat will be on the water. A water station is available on the run segment.
Logistics and procedures: race packets include a bib and two small matching stickers for labeling bike and watercraft. Only racers with matching bib numbers may retrieve equipment from corrals. The campground main road remains open to traffic and Traffic Marshals will manage vehicle flow. After the event there will be an awards presentation, an onsite BBQ that has a charge, and a concert featuring local musical talent.
