Tri Nikiski is an untimed triathlon held in Kenai, Alaska, at 55525 Poolside Ave.

Events and Distances

The event features three distinct participation formats.

• Adult Triathlon: A 500-yard swim, a 10.6-mile bike ride, and a 5k run.
• Adult Triathlon Relay: A team event with the same distances as the individual adult triathlon. Participants can choose to form a two-person or three-person team. The registration fee is $50 per team member.
• Kids Tri (Ages 7-13): A separate event for children, which offers two course options. The Short Course includes a one-lap swim, a bike ride of less than 2 miles, and a run of less than 1 mile. The Long Course consists of a two-lap swim, a bike ride of less than 2 miles, and a run of less than 1 mile. Kids also have the option to start their swim leg from a water slide. Team relays are not available for the kids' event.

Course Details

The bike course for the kids' events is noted to be mostly on gravel surfaces. The run course for the kids' event is described as a reversed version of the previous year's route, so participants run down a notable hill instead of up it.
