Tri Nikiski - Nikiski, AK
Tri Nikiski is an untimed triathlon held on June 27, 2026, at 55525 Poolside Ave, Kenai, Alaska. The event includes adult individual and relay races plus a kids triathlon with two course options. Registration opens April 1, 2026. Entry fees listed by the organizer are $50 per adult participant or relay member and $25 per child.
Distances are provided by event category:
- Adult: 500 yard swim, 10.6 mile bike, 5 km run.
- Kids short course: one lap swim, under 2 mile bike, under 1 mile run.
- Kids long course: two lap swim, under 2 mile bike, under 1 mile run.
The adult relay allows teams of two or three people; the fee is $50 per participant. Participants may join an existing team or create a new team. There is no team option for the kids triathlon. The kids bike course may include mostly gravel; families should plan accordingly. The kids run follows a loop used in prior years called Illiamna Loop and will be run in the opposite direction from last year, resulting in a descent on the section that was previously an uphill finish.
