Tri Nikiski overview
Tri Nikiski is an untimed triathlon held in Kenai, Alaska on June 27, 2026. The event includes an adult individual race, an adult relay option, and a kids triathlon for ages 7 to 13. The venue address is 55525 Poolside Ave, Kenai, AK 99611.
Adults pay a registration fee of $50. Relay entries are also $50 per participant and may be entered as two person or three person teams; participants may join an existing team or create a new team. Kids registration fee is $25. Registration opens April 1, 2026. Updates will be posted on the event Facebook page.
Distances
- Adult triathlon: 500 yd swim, 10.6 mile bike, 5 km run.
- Relay teams: same distances as adult individual.
- Kids short course: 1 lap swim, under 2 mile bike, under 1 mile run.
- Kids long course: 2 lap swim, under 2 mile bike, under 1 mile run.
Additional notes: Kids may start their swim on a water slide but timing begins when the child hits the water at the bottom of the slide. The kids bike course will be mostly gravel. The kids run follows the Illiamna Loop on NPRSA trails and will run the same route as last year but in the opposite direction. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
