Tri Fun. 26 "Journey to the Badlands"
Tri Fun. 26 is a kayak, run and mountain bike event held in Glendive, Montana on July 18, 2026. The event uses multiple public locations including the Glendive Boat Ramp off N. River Ave for the water start, Bell Prairie Road for the bike leg, and a finish at Eyer Park. The organizer is Makoshika Wellness at 111 W Bell, Glendive, MT 59330.
The course sequence is kayak, then run, then bike. Distances for each segment are given as approximate and marked on course:
- Kayak: 8.3+ miles on the Yellowstone River to Kemp’s property.
- Run: 3.4+ miles on rolling dirt roads.
- Bike: 12.37+ miles on gravel Bell Prairie Road and through town to Eyer Park.
Kayaks, canoes and paddle boards are acceptable for the water portion; each must be a one person vessel without a motor. Participants or teams must provide their own equipment including kayak, life jacket, oars, bike and helmet. Numbers must be body marked and visible on the participant, the kayak and the bike. Relay teams consist of three persons who complete the kayak, run and bike legs sequentially; the kayaker is registered as the swim leg.
The course will be open to traffic; participants should be aware of surroundings. Transport will be provided for relay logistics and for returning kayaks or runners to Eyer Park or the start. The finish area will feature a beer garden, food trucks, live entertainment and vendors. Early registrants by July 6 are eligible for a shirt.
