Tri Fun. 26 "Journey to the Badlands"
Tri Fun. 26 takes place on July 18, 2026 in Glendive, Montana, based at Makoshika Wellness, 111 W Bell. The course starts at the Glendive Boat Ramp off N. River Ave and finishes at Eyer Park.
The event consists of three sequential legs performed by an individual or by a three person relay team:
- Kayak 8.3+ miles on the Yellowstone River to the Kemp's property
- Run 3.4+ miles on rolling dirt roads
- Bike 12.37+ miles on gravel and through town to Eyer Park
Kayaks, canoes, and paddle boards are acceptable for the water portion. Vessels must be one person and without a motor. Participants or teams must provide their own kayak, life jacket, oars, bike, and helmet. Body marking is required and numbers must be visible on the participant, the kayak, and the bike.
Relay teams consist of three people who complete the kayak, run, and bike legs sequentially with tags. When entered as a relay, the kayaker is recorded as the swim leg. Transportation will be provided for relay teams between the start and the kayak-run-bike transition, and organizers will return kayaks and runners to Eyer Park or the start line. The course is open to traffic; participants should be aware of surroundings.
At the finish there will be a beer garden, food trucks, live entertainment, and vendors. Participants who register before July 6 receive a shirt. Individual entry fee is USD 65 and group team fee is USD 150. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
