Tri Fun. 26 "Journey to the Badlands" - Glendive, MT
Tri Fun. 26 is a multi-discipline race held in Glendive with water, run, and mountain bike segments. The event base is listed as Makoshika Wellness at 111 W Bell, Glendive, MT, with the kayak start at the Glendive Boat Ramp off N. River Ave and the finish at Eyer Park.
Course distances are:
- 8.3+ miles kayak on the Yellowstone River to Kemp's property
- 3.4+ miles run on rolling dirt roads
- 12.37+ miles bike on gravel down Bell Prairie Road and through town
Kayaks, canoes, and paddle boards are acceptable for the water portion. Vessels must be single-person and non-motorized; flotation device choice is up to the participant. Participants or teams must provide their own equipment including kayak, life jacket, oars, bike, and helmet. Relay teams consist of three people who complete the kayak, run, and bike legs sequentially; when registering online the kayaker is treated as the swim leg.
Numbers must be marked on the body and visible on participants, their kayak, and their bike. Transportation will be provided for relay teams between the kayak start and the transition area, and organizers will transport kayaks and runners back to Eyer Park or the start. The course is open to traffic and participants should be aware of their surroundings. Registrations completed before July 6 include a shirt. The finish area includes a beer garden, food trucks, live entertainment, and vendors. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
