Transcend at Hackney Marshes, 19 July 2026
Transcend is a queer and trans only running and walking event taking place during LGBTQIA+ Pride celebrations in July 2026. It is organised by Queer Running Club, an independent group established in Hackney, East London in 2019 that provides a safe space for queer and trans people to run together.
The event offers two distance options:
- 5 km
- 10 km
Participation is open to queer and trans people for both running and walking. Allies may attend as spectators. Half of the entry fees will be directed to trans siblings fundraisers for gender-affirming surgeries.
The event emphasises a respectful environment and a clear code of conduct. The organisers request pride, support and respect and prohibit transphobia, homophobia, queerphobia, racism, sexism, ableism and any form of harassment.
The event is located at Hackney Marshes and takes place on 19 July 2026. The focus is on community visibility during Pride and on raising awareness of discrimination faced by transgender, non-binary and gender non-conforming people in sport.
