Trail des Appalaches
The Trail des Appalaches takes place in Parc national Frontenac in the Granit region, near Sainte-Praxède. The event offers multiple distances on routes that pass through forests, bogs, shorelines and clearings, with several scenic viewpoints along the way.
The course has very little elevation and is noted as being rolling. Trails are maintained and alternate wooded sections and open areas, providing a smooth running or walking experience on preserved natural terrain.
The event brings together runners, walkers and families and includes formats for different participants. The distances available include:
- 1 km
- 5 km
- 10 km
- 15 km
- 30 km
- 60 km
The Trail des Appalaches supports the Fonds des Mille-Pattes, a program focused on education, safety and the development of outdoor activities for youth. The event also highlights the Granit region, its local communities and natural heritage. A runner guide provides additional practical information and course details.
