Trail Criú 6 Hour Challenge 2027
The Trail Criú 6 Hour Challenge is a time-based trail event at Kippure Estate beside the River Liffey in Wicklow. Participants run a 5 km loop as many times as they choose within the six-hour event window. The course is fully marked and uses a mixture of firm packed gravel and forest road.
On-course and event facilities include aid stations, first aid provision, toilets, and water. Laps are counted and recorded by event officials and results are published on the Trail Criú website after the event. Tickets include a Trail Criú buff available for collection at registration on the day. Free parking is provided on site.
The organiser notes that the event may be postponed for safety reasons in the event of severe weather or other unforeseen circumstances. If Met Éireann issues an Orange or Red weather warning for the event location and timeframe, the event will be postponed; a specific alternative date is listed for the 2027 edition and tickets remain valid for that date. Refunds are not available if a participant cannot attend the rescheduled date. Participation also supports the ongoing development of the Trail Criú club and community.
