Tradies Sutherland 2 Surf
Tradies Sutherland 2 Surf is an annual community running event held each July in the Sutherland Shire. The event brings together thousands of runners, walkers, families and teams for an 11 km journey from Flora Street in Sutherland to the finish at Don Lucas Reserve in Cronulla on the shores of Wanda Beach.
The event is organised by Wanda Surf Life Saving Club and serves as the Club’s major annual fundraiser, supporting volunteer surf lifesavers with training and lifesaving equipment. The course is described as welcoming to a wide range of participants and finishes at a beachside event village with local volunteers and supporters lining parts of the route.
Entries include an official race bib with single-use timing tag, a finisher’s medal, free bus transport between Cronulla and Sutherland, first aid support at multiple points, water stations on the course, complimentary bag transfer from start to finish, access to official finishing times and an electronic finisher’s certificate. Team entries require a minimum of four members, with the fastest four times combined to determine team standings. Team categories include school, youth, corporate, gym/personal training, runners and all abilities. Wheelchair participants are asked to remain behind the lead vehicle and wear bibs on the shins for correct timing; wheelchair entries close Sunday 5th June 2026.
