Towpath Trail 10K and Half Marathon - Providence Metropark
The Towpath Trail 10K and Half Marathon take place on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at Providence Metropark near the dam across the river from Grand Rapids, OH (13827 S. River Rd., Grand Rapids, OH 43522). Both courses use the historic canal towpath and return to the finish area at the Providence dam and shelter.
The towpath surface is crushed gravel and dirt and offers substantial shade. Runners follow the Maumee River and pass features such as historic canal locks and a grain mill within the park. Mercy Health - Toledo will provide onsite medical support.

Half marathon participants are expected to be able to finish within three hours. Walkers are encouraged to use the 10K. Male and female winners in overall, masters (age 40-49), and grand masters (age 50 and above) categories receive gift certificates for both races.
Registration includes a tee shirt; a no-shirt option is available so a larger portion of the fee goes to charity. The event is capped at 175 participants and is one of four races in the Toledo Roadrunners Club Trail Race Series, which also includes the Marsh Madness 10K, Oak Openings Stampede events, and the Falling Leaves races.
