Tory Hill
Tory Hill is a mountain running event organised by the Irish Mountain Running Association in County Kilkenny on Saturday 9th May 2026. The event offers two course options:
- 8.00 km main course with about 400 m climb.
- 5.00 km short course.
The route is fully marked and GPS is allowed. Terrain is a mix of woods, single-track runnable trail and fire road, with a 200 m climb in the first 2.4 km and two visits to the summit cross. The course difficulty is rated for easy terrain with 200 m - 500 m ascent and a typical length of 6 km - 10 km.
Mandatory kit is Level A basic: a showerproof, windproof jacket must be carried or worn for the duration of the race. Organisers may perform random kit checks; failure to carry required items may lead to denial of entry or disqualification. Headphones are not permitted during IMRA races.
Entry fees are €7 for seniors and €5 for over 65s and under 18s. The event is part of the Southeast League. Junior runners use the short course; all under tens must be accompanied by a guardian on the route. Car parking is limited and the site shares parking with hillwalkers. Approach to the car park from the southerly direction has a lane in poor condition. Prizegiving will take place at the car park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
