Course, access and race details

The route mixes woods, runnable trail and fire road. The first 2.4 km include about 200 m of ascent. The course contains two visits to the summit cross. Prizegiving is at the car park.

Tory Hill is accessed from Mullinavat village; directions vary by approach and signs point to the Tory Hill Trail Head. The approach lane to the car park from the southerly direction is noted as being in poor condition. Car parking is limited and the area is shared with hillwalkers.

Registration opens at 9.45 am and closes at 10.45 am. There will be no early start. Juniors will have a short course of about 5 km; all under-10s must be accompanied by an adult and a marshal will be present at the turnaround.

Mandatory kit and rules

Mandatory kit level is A - Basic, requiring a showerproof, windproof jacket. The jacket must be worn or carried for the duration of the race. The exact kit to carry may be finalised on the day and random checks may be carried out. Headphones are not permitted during IMRA races. Carpooling is requested because parking is limited.
