The Toronto Island Run, organized by Longboat Roadrunners, is a family-friendly running event held on Toronto's Centre Island. It features 10K and 5K races on flat, scenic courses ideal for personal bests or beginners. The event also includes kids' races: a 1-mile race for ages 7-12 and a 1 km fun run for ages 2-6, with parents allowed to accompany the youngest.
Participants enjoy a post-race picnic with complimentary BBQ lunch. The race promotes inclusivity with categories for all ages, genders, and weight divisions. Water stations and bag check are available, and the event supports Indigenous community charities.
The race is Athletics Ontario sanctioned. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
