Titanium Half Marathon
The event is organized by Midwest Endurance in the Lloydminster area. Race distances offered are:
- 21.1 KM on a park loop course
- 10 KM
- 5 KM
The course is based on a 5 KM loop in Bud Miller All Seasons Park with an added extension to reach the half marathon distance; half marathon runners complete the extended loop four times. The surface is approximately 50% asphalt bike path, 40% dirt trail and 10% gravel, and includes a few sharp corners. Course marking will use flags and signs.
There will be two aid stations on course, one at the start/finish area and one by the lake on the west side. Aid stations will supply water, a carbohydrate drink (Tailwind) and GU gels; the start/finish station will also offer bananas, oranges, milk, chocolate milk and chips for post-run. Aid station staff are volunteers sponsored by pureREVIVAL.
Timing uses a Zone4 system with battery ankle bracelets. Runners should secure the bracelet to their ankle before the race and return it immediately after finishing; failure to return the bracelet will result in a $100 charge to the card used for registration.
Primary package pickup is Saturday May 29 at Sheepskin Loft, 4305 57 Ave, Lloydminster. Race day package pickup is Sunday May 30 at the Bud Miller All Season Park picnic area.
Entries include a race t shirt (guaranteed for selections made before April 30), a race bag, a finishers medal and other promotional items. Complimentary race day photography will be uploaded publicly after the event unless a runner submits an opt out request in person at package pickup.
