10th Edition of the Tirana Marathon
The Tirana Marathon is a major sports event held in the capital of Albania. The 2026 event marks the tenth edition of the race and coincides with the year Tirana holds the title of "Mediterranean Capital of Culture and Dialogue." The event is organized by the Municipality of Tirana in collaboration with the Athletics Federation of Albania.
Participants can choose from three different distances:
- 42K (Full Marathon)
- 21K (Half Marathon)
- 10K (Fun Run)
The 10K course is open to families and beginners, while the 21.1 km route passes through the heart of the capital. In previous years, the event has attracted thousands of participants from various countries, including Poland, Ukraine, Kosovo, and Austria. The marathon aims to promote active living and tourism while showcasing Tirana as a modern city. The route passes through the historic center of the city, and past editions have concluded with a festival at the finish line. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
