TimberTown TrailFest
TimberTown TrailFest takes place on Saturday, October 24 in TimberTown and Veteran’s Park along the Border to Border Trail in Chelsea. The event combines trail running with family activities set in neighborhood parks.
Distances offered:
- 5K - timed out and back on the paved Border to Border Trail.
- 1 mile Kids Dash - timed one mile held within TimberTown and Veteran’s Park.
The 5K is a timed, flat course with aid stations along the route. Registration is required and costs $35 for the 5K and $15 for the Kids Dash. Race proceeds and additional donations support Huron Waterloo Pathways Initiative and the Border to Border Trail.
Additional activities run alongside the races. Morning outdoor yoga is offered as an easy flow; it is free to participate and attendees are advised to bring a mat. A kid’s scavenger hunt hosted by the Chelsea District Library features story stops and a mini dance party; it is free and requires registration which opens in September. A cornhole tournament hosted by Saline Cornhole is free to participate and has separate registration.
