Timber Triathlon
CHI Health Mercy Corning and Lake Icaria present the third annual Timber Tri sprint triathlon at Lake Icaria in Corning, IA. The triathlon course combines open water swimming in the lake, a road bike segment through nearby countryside, and a run on park trails. The setting includes lake shoreline and scenic park areas around the venue.
Distances for the sprint triathlon:
- Swim: 600 meters
- Bike: 14 miles
- Run: 5K
The event day also includes a separate 5K Fun Run held on scenic trail terrain around Lake Icaria. Strollers and pets are not allowed on the trail due to trail conditions. An Open Water Swim entry covers the same 600-meter swim used in the triathlon as part of the Open Water Swim Series.
