Tideline Classic
The Tideline Classic presented by Foundation Rehab is a set of races along the Campbell River Seawalk, with start and finish at Ken Forde Park. The event coincides with the opening of Foundation Rehab’s new location across from the park. Race entry includes a waffle breakfast, a swag bag, post-race snacks and an invitation to explore the collaborative space created by Foundation Rehab and Elevate Sports.
Distances offered
- 2 km Kids Race (Under 13)
- 5 km race
- 11 km race
The course has zero elevation gain and runs on public sidewalks and the Seawalk. Starts are in small groups or waves to reduce congestion. There will be course markings and marshals at crossing points in the Willow Point business area, but no dedicated race lane; participants are expected to be respectful of other Seawalk users.
Hydration stations are located at the Start/Finish area and at the two turn-around points: Hidden Harbour Park South, 67 S Island Highway for the 11 km, and Simms Creek Pump Station for the 5 km. Public washrooms are available at Frank James Park, Simms Creek Pump Station, Rotary Park and Ken Forde Park.
Timing is manual with RaceClocker; there are no timing chips and bibs must be visible on the front of shirts. 11 km and 5 km participants pick up bibs on race day. Kids must be accompanied at check-in; participants 9 and under require a guardian on-course, and participants 10 and older require a guardian on-course or course-side. Dogs and strollers are not permitted and headphones should be limited to one earbud. Refund and transfer policies are stated, including full refunds for pregnancy with a doctor's note and no transfers to other participants. The event is run entirely by volunteers and the Race Director has final authority. Requested cutoff targets are under 120 minutes for 11 km, under 60 minutes for 5 km, and return to start/finish within 45 minutes for 2 km.
