THORP FUN RUN
The Thorp Fun Run takes place on June 6, 2026, at Thorp High School in Thorp, Wisconsin. The event comprises race distances for adults and children:
- 5K (3.1 Miles)
- 10K (6.2 Miles)
- 1/2 Mile Kids Run
- 200 Yard Kids Run
Registration opens February 6, 2026, and closes June 4, 2026. Registration is handled at Thorp High School. Entry fees are listed as $25 for the 5K and 10K and $5 for each kids race. The 5K and 10K entry fee includes a T shirt; the kids races do not include a T shirt but a shirt can be purchased for $10. T shirts can only be guaranteed for registrations received before May 20. Race fees do not include processing fees or tax.
The event uses professional chip timing for the finish. Awards include trophies for the top male and female overall finishers in the 5K and 10K, plus medals for the top male and female in each age division for those distances. Age divisions are 12 and under, 13 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, 70 to 79, and 80 and up. After race refreshments are provided for participants. The run is held during Thorp Dairy Days and proceeds benefit the Thorp Scholarship Fund, which awarded $7,600 in scholarships over the past three years.
