Thompson Millennium Green 10 km and 5 km
The event offers two multi-terrain runs on pathways, lanes and bridleways in and around Thompson, supported by marshals. Distances are:
- 10 km
- 5 km
Entrants must be 15 years or older for the 10 km and 11 years or older for the 5 km. The course is not suitable for wheelchairs, buggies, or pets. Both distances are not chip timed. A run cut-off time applies for both distances.
Entry fees are listed separately for affiliated and non-affiliated runners. Registration opens at the Thompson Community Hall on the event day. Parking is available in clearly signposted areas near the hall; roadside parking is not permitted to keep roads clear for runners and emergency vehicles.
Facilities at the venue include refreshments, toilets, an unattended baggage area and a large children’s play area. Water stations are located at approximately 6 km and at the finish line; refillable bottles can be filled at those points. Bespoke medals are provided for all finishers and trophies will be awarded to the first three male and female finishers in each distance. Prize giving will be around 12.30pm and no later than 12.45pm.
Medical cover includes an on-site ambulance; marshals can summon medical assistance. In-ear headphones are banned; bone conducting headphones are permitted if marshal instructions remain audible. A photographer usually records the event and photo viewing details will be available in the hall. All profits go to the Thompson Millennium Green Charitable Trust, charity number 1073130.
