The White Horse Gallop

The White Horse Gallop is a roughly 12 km off road race held on 18 October 2026. The course runs along bridle paths and across the Imber Range and passes close to the Westbury White Horse. It is listed as Race 3 of the Wiltshire Off Road Race League.

Prizes are awarded to first, second and third male and female finishers and in veteran categories V40, V50, V60 and V70 for both sexes. A bespoke medal is provided to all finishers.

Facilities include toilets, two water stations, first aid cover and refreshments available to purchase. The event is fully insured. Car parking at Leighton Recreation Centre BA13 3PT is limited; there is a pay and display on Warminster Road opposite the petrol station BA13 3PE which is about a ten minute walk to the start. Competitors are asked to be courteous to residents and consider car sharing.

Entry is restricted to runners aged 16 years or older on the day. Headphones are not allowed and may lead to disqualification; dogs are not permitted. Places are limited to 200 and entries are open until 1 October 2026 or until the limit is reached. Entry fees are £23 affiliated and £25 unattached.
