The Sticks - Norton, KS

The Sticks is a timed endurance event held on a farmstead outside Norton, KS. The event offers multiple time-based race options that send participants around a measured loop repeatedly. The course combines mowed pasture and dirt road and uses a roughly 3 mile loop that participants repeat for their chosen time. There is an option to run a 4.3 mile dirt road loop during two specific one hour windows every six hours.

The event features professional chip timing and live lap tracking that updates after each completed lap. One well stocked aid station is located at the start and finish and will be manned around the clock. Free camping is available at the start and finish area with porta-potties and space for a pop-up crew area; indoor showers are available on site.

Rules include a strict participant cap of 75, no refunds, and no bib transfers. Runners must check in at the start and finish after each loop and must check with race staff before leaving and when returning to the course. Pacers are allowed only after the 24 hour mark. Only full laps count toward a runner's total. A limit of one vehicle per runner applies.

Swag and awards include distance specific belt buckles for ultra distances, marathon medals, and a gender specific event tank top for all entrants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
