Course, schedule context and beneficiaries
The course starts and finishes on Monon Blvd at MidTown. The route goes north on the Monon, west toward Meadowlark Park, south to City Center Drive, then back north to the finish. The race is positioned to kick off Carmel PorchFest, with the PorchFest start located about three blocks from the finish. MidTown is in the DORA district and participants receive a special cup that allows them to walk around MidTown with an adult beverage. Post-race refreshments, music and specials from MidTown restaurants are part of the event. A jazz band will march the group north on the Monon to the start of PorchFest. Proceeds benefit the Carmel PorchFest Grant Program, which provides financial support for students pursuing musical arts in exchange for volunteer hours.
