The Next Loop 40/50 Mile Challenge in Stillwater, OK is a loop based trail event held at Lake Carl Blackwell. The event offers multiple long-distance formats and uses a continuous race style with a single start/finish aid station that serves runners every lap.

The 50 mile format uses chip timing and records loop splits for every completed lap. Placement is determined by overall finishing time rather than an hourly scoring format. Logistics include a dedicated staging area for 50 mile athletes and the ability to leave personal gear at a vehicle or in the designated staging area. A main aid station is available each lap. Pacers are permitted beginning at 4:00 PM; pacers must check in at the designated pacer station, wear official pacer identification, and enter and exit the course at the start/finish area only. Multiple pacers are allowed one at a time.
