About the race
The Monster Dash 5K is a themed run and walk held at Arizona Boardwalk in Scottsdale, AZ on October 30, 2026. The in-person event features costumed characters roaming the course and event area, and participants are encouraged to wear costumes. Spaces are limited.
Participants may choose from these options:
- 5K Run/Walk in person at Arizona Boardwalk
- Virtual Run with mailed shirt and finisher medal, US addresses only
In-person runners receive a custom finisher medal and a custom dri-fit shirt unless they select the no-shirt option for a small discount. Virtual participants receive the same shirt and medal by mail after the event date and receive instructions by email for submitting their time. The race uses chip timing with real-time results and event photos available online or in a mobile app. Age group awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each age division, which range from 8 & Under through 80 & Over. Pre- and post-race snacks are provided.
Wheelchairs, strollers, and wagons are welcome and must start at the back of the field. Bicycles, roller blades, skateboards, and motorized devices are not allowed on the course. Packet pick-up is available the day before at Road Runner Sports in North Phoenix and on race night. The event proceeds regardless of weather and does not offer refunds or transfers due to weather.
