The Mind Space 1-Year Anniversary 5K and 1 Mile
The Mind Space 1-Year Anniversary event takes place on May 16, 2026 in Mission, Texas at the Mission Hike and Bike Trails (1801 Native Land Design, Mission, TX 78572). The program includes in-person and virtual running options and a vendor presence.
Distances offered:
- 5K (3.12 miles) in person and virtual.
- 1 Mile in person and virtual.
Packet pickup is available the day before the event at MOB Fitness in McAllen for registered participants to collect bibs and shirts. Shirt orders have an April 25 deadline; sizes after that date are available while supplies last.
On-site features include a Synergy Drumline pep rally, a MOB Fitness warm-up and HYROX-style post run simulation, music and pacing support, a Red Bull Chill Zone with a DJ, a Mad Chill Zone for socializing, and a makers market presented by STX Markets with local vendors and nonprofits. Hydration stations will be staffed by RGV Little Elves and include a Lululemon presence. The event also includes an inflatable start and finish arch, a Mind Space themed photo area, free race photos, and a local vendor market.
Awards include an Overall Male and Female, age group awards across multiple categories, and a Most Spirited Run Club Trophy with a $500 award. Run club teams must check in at the Mind Space merch table; judges will observe entries for the spirited club prize. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
