The Mill District 5K - Great Granny Gallop
The Mill District 5K takes place in the Bibb City Mill District in Columbus, Georgia. The event is a community 5k organized by The Mill District, Inc. and scheduled for October 10, 2026.
Registration opens on August 1, 2026 and closes October 9, 2026. The entry fee is $35 through October 9 and $45 on race day. To be guaranteed a T shirt, registrants must sign up by September 17, 2026.
Packet pick up is scheduled the day before at Big Dog Fleet Feet and an emergency pick up is available the morning of the event at the race site parking lot near 1st Avenue and 38th Street. A course route runs through the Bibb City Mill District. Valley Healthcare System is listed as the medical partner.
Awards will be presented for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd overall for male and female divisions. Costume awards include Fastest Granny, Fastest Grandpa, Best Dressed Granny, and Best Dressed Grandpa. Participants receive a free food ticket and will have snacks and hydration available at the finish.
Proceeds support educational initiatives and programming for community partners including Growing Room, Jordan High School Culinary Arts Program, Micah's Promise, and Chattahoochee Valley Libraries. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
