The Mile - Norwood
The event is staged at 335 Chestnut St, Norwood, NJ, on a USATF certified, flat two-loop road course with wide roads and smooth turns. The program includes a championship one mile and a family half mile held around the block in front of the venue. All proceeds will be donated to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
Prizes and awards include free pairs of running shoes from Runners' House for overall winners and for masters with the highest age-grade percentage, gift cards to Runners' House for second and third overall, and cash awards for new course records and select achievements. Current course record marks are listed for open and masters divisions and age-graded performances. USATF awards for championship races will be provided on a grab-n-go basis.
Registration and entry details vary by race. The championship one mile has an age and performance requirement for competitive entrants (ages 16 to 39 and the ability to run a sub 6:00 mile). Championship race registration must be completed online by the published deadline; race day registration is not permitted for athletes entered in the USATF championship race. Race day sign-ups are permitted for the family mile and Impact Zone mile only, with a separate fee for on-site entries.
