The Memorial Day Freedom 5K Run/Walk is a Memorial Day event in Malverne, New York, organized as a tribute to veterans. The course starts at Connolly Station (280 Hempstead Ave.) and follows the Village of Malverne Memorial Day Parade route. The run uses a two-loop course described as fast and flat.

Funds raised support several local and national organizations, including American Legion Post #44, a scholarship in memory of Sgt. Winters of the Malverne Police Department, Paws of War, the Detective Steven McDonald Foundation, the Malverne Fire Department, and Crossroads Farm. The event partners with the Never Stop Running Foundation 501c(3) so sponsorships or donations can be tax deductible. A prior edition raised $15,000 and distributed those funds among listed beneficiaries.
On-site amenities listed by the organizer include drawstring bags for early registrants, medals for early finishers, personalized bibs for early registration, free finish-line photos, refreshments (protein balls, brownies, bananas, water), restrooms at Connolly Station, seed packets for early registrants, and crumb cake from a local bakery. Awards include cash and a small container of organic honey, with age-group and special-category prizes for overall, local residents, and veterans or first responders.
