The Maypole Project Chislehurst Half Marathon

The Maypole Project Chislehurst Half Marathon is a local half marathon held in Chislehurst, Greater London, with the event base at Glebe Football Club, Foxbury Avenue, BR7 6SD. The course runs through the parks and commons of Chislehurst and is described as multi terrain and undulating, combining urban and countryside sections that reflect the village's history and leafy character.

All race profit is donated to the Maypole Project, a local charity that provides psychological and family centered support for families where a child or young person has a complex illness or disability. The charity supports children and young people from birth to 18 years, offers help from the moment of diagnosis including the antenatal period, and supports the whole family including siblings, parents and grandparents. The Maypole Project supports families across Kent and south London and tailors support at home, at school, in hospice settings and in hospital.

Additional event details include downloadable route maps and GPX files, an option to register with a HEROES ticket that includes a five pound donation to the charity to fund arts and crafts for one to one play therapy, a bespoke medal for finishers and trophies and prizes for leading runners. Standard entry prices are listed between twenty nine and thirty one pounds and on the day entry is noted at thirty five pounds subject to availability. Entrants must be aged 17 or over on the race date. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
