The Maypole Project Chislehurst Half Marathon & 10k
The event marks its 10th anniversary in 2027 and comprises a half marathon and a newly introduced 10k. It takes place in Chislehurst, Greater London, with the event base at Glebe Football Club, Foxbury Avenue, BR7 6SD. The courses explore local parks, commons and other green spaces where London meets the countryside. The route surfaces are multi-terrain and the courses are described as undulating. This year's routes are lapped in nature to make them more accessible and easier to navigate than previous editions.
Distances:
- Half Marathon
- 10k (brand new route)
All race profits go to The Maypole Project, a local charity that provides family-centred psychological support for families affected by a child or young person living with a complex illness or disability. The charity supports over 1,000 families across Kent and south London, offering help from diagnosis onward, including the antenatal period, and tailoring support at home, school, hospice or hospital. A HEROES entry adds a £5 donation to The Maypole Project; this contribution is used for arts and crafts in play boxes for one-to-one play therapy sessions.
Finishers in both distances receive a bespoke anniversary medal. Trophies and prizes are awarded to leading runners. On-the-day entry fees, subject to availability, are listed as Half Marathon £35 and 10k £30. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
