Event Format
The Mangy Coyote Backyard Ultra is a backyard-style ultramarathon where participants run a loop repeatedly. The event lasts for approximately 13 hours, with loops continuing until the cutoff time or until a runner gives up. The loop distance is to be determined but is estimated to be between 4 and 6 km with 40 to 60 meters of elevation gain. The course is a mixture of groomed double-wide gravel trails and singletrack technical terrain.
Location and Logistics
The event takes place at Trenton Park in Nova Scotia, Canada. An aid station provides hydration and light snacks. A crew area with tent space is available near the start/finish line for personal gear and support.
Additional Information
The event is a fundraiser for the Pictou County United Way. Registration includes a finisher sticker and access to the stocked aid station.
