The Long Watch
The Long Watch is a timed endurance running event held on September 5, 2026, at Donald Farm in Woodland, Washington. The run takes place alongside the Warrior Expo, a multi-day festival that features Strongman competitions, Highland Games, and battles in medieval suits of armor.
The event offers multiple timed formats:
- 24-hour format on a 1-mile loop.
- 12-hour format on a 1-mile loop.
- 6-hour format on a 1-mile loop.
A manned aid station is provided and stocked with snacks and support intended to serve runners during daylight, darkness, and the hours between. The course winds through the Warrior Expo grounds and carries participants past competition fields, vendor booths, and festival activity, so runners experience both the busier festival atmosphere and the quieter overnight period.
Framed as a tribute to hours spent on watch, the event focuses on accumulating miles within a chosen time limit rather than a set finish distance.
