The Little Miami Trail Challenge
The Little Miami Trail Challenge takes place at John Bryan State Park Lower Shelter House in Yellow Springs, Ohio on October 10 and 11, 2026. The event is permitted under a special use authorization from John Bryan State Park.
The weekend program includes trail races and a timed endurance event with separate entry fees for each race. Listed fees in the event information are: half marathon $70, 10K $50, 5K $40, 20K relay $40, six hour timed event $60, and a Pack Pass for all 2026 events $100. The 20K relay is organized as four 5K loops with teams of two to four participants; each participant must run at least one loop and participants register separately.
John Bryan State Park features a limestone gorge formed by the Little Miami State and National Scenic River. The gorge is a National Natural Landmark and offers views from trails in the park.
Onsite camping at John Bryan is available but may fill quickly. An alternate lodging option is the Rustic Retreat in Xenia, a short drive from the park, which offers vintage Airstream campers and guest rooms.
