About the race
The Limberlost Challenge is a multi-distance trail ultrarace set in the Limberlost Forest and Wildlife Reserve near Muskoka, Ontario. Distances include 7 km, 14 km, 28 km, 42 km and 56 km, with runners navigating technical sections and fast forest trails across a private wilderness property. The course is well marked, with enthusiastic volunteers and a post-race meal.
The reserve spans more than 10,000 acres with twenty private lakes and trail networks, plus lakefront cottages, campsites and public amenities. Special features include a Green no-T-shirt option supporting Muskoka Conservancy, and proceeds benefiting Trails Youth Initiatives, plus Trail Tactics tips.
