The Limberlost Challenge
The Limberlost Challenge is a trail running event in Ontario held on July 4, 2026 at The Limberlost Forest and Wildlife Reserve, 1002 Buck Lake Landing Road, Huntsville. The event takes place on privately owned wilderness trails that have been restored by the reserve.
The course runs through forest trails and past lakes. Some sections are technical and require nimble footwork, while other stretches allow runners to open up and run faster. The terrain varies along the route and includes features that test different trail running skills.

- 1 km Kids Fun Run
- 7 km Trail
- 14 km Trail
- 28 km Trail
- 42 km Trail
- 56 km Trail
Runners in the 7, 14, 28, 42 and 56 km races are provided with free lunch, morning coffee, Custom Outway socks by Custom Lab, professional photography and a handcrafted participant medal. Official merchandise such as hoodies and T shirts is available for pre order and pickup on race day. The event supports efforts to empower youth to become contributing members of their communities.
