THE LIMBERLOST CHALLENGE 2026
The event takes place on July 4, 2026 at Limberlost Forest and Wildlife Reserve in Huntsville, Ontario, Canada. Courses run on trails and include technical sections, faster trail segments, runs alongside lakes, a wetland with beaver dams, steep inclines and occasional creek or mud crossings. The course will be well marked and volunteers will be on site.
Multiple race distances are offered, plus a free 1 km kids fun run. The main race distances are:
- 7 km
- 14 km
- 28 km
- 42 km
- 56 km
Races use a 14 km loop as a base for longer distances (for example 28 km equals two loops, 42 km equals three loops, 56 km equals four loops). Runners in the 7 to 56 km events receive free lunch, morning coffee, socks and a handcrafted participant medal. The event is cupless so participants should bring their own drinking cup or system.
There are no refunds and no deferrals. Cancellation insurance is available for purchase at registration. Race kit pickup is scheduled for a Friday evening and on the Saturday morning of the event. Charity partners include Trails Youth Initiatives and Muskoka Conservancy. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
