The Lawford 10k run
The Lawford 10k run takes place at Lawford Playing Field as part of the Manningtree Rotary charity Summer Fun Festival, in association with Lawford Fotball Club. The event is a fundraiser for local charities and international causes; Charity No: 1019980.
The course is multi‑terrain, mainly over footpaths with some short sections of country lanes, and is run as two laps of a 5k route. Runners are chip timed. A bag facility is available and the route is marked with regular water stations and yellow direction signs. All participants receive a medal.
Participation is open to runners, walkers and joggers, and dogs are welcome. A childrens fun run takes place around the playing field as part of the same fun day. Stalls and rides run throughout the day until 18:00, with activities aimed at families.
