About the race
The Last Hour is an event on August 20, 2027, organized by Dirty Soles at Vanderwater Conservation Area in Thomasburg, Ontario. The event is the final race in the Friday Night Happy Hour Series and is listed as an 8 km trail run. The course runs on gently rolling trails through pine groves, old boulder fields and along the Moira River. Trails are described as generously wide, suitable for running alongside others. Vanderwater has a porta-potty in the main parking lot. The park uses a paid parking gate; parking is $6 and the gate accepts cash, debit and credit card. Online registration is listed with a fee of USD 32.25. Bibs are available on race day and day-of registration is available for $30.
The organizer notes that timing will be done manually and there are no placement awards for this race. There are no refunds for any reason. There are no medals or awards for this single event, but participants who complete all four races in the Happy Hour Series will receive a custom Dirty Soles medal and prize at The Last Hour.
