Trail Running in Thomasburg, Ontario
The Last Hour is a trail running event held at the Vanderwater Conservation Area in Thomasburg. As the final installment of the Happy Hour Friday Night Series, it features a single distance on the trails:
- 8 km
The route follows wide trails through pine groves and past old boulder fields and the Moira River. The terrain consists of gently rolling hills. There are no aid stations provided on the course, so participants must be self sufficient. Facilities on-site include a porta-potty located in the main parking lot.
Timing for the event is recorded manually, with results published online following the race. There are no placement awards or individual medals for this specific race. However, runners who complete all three events in the series are eligible for a custom medal and prize at this final event.
Access to the venue requires a paid parking fee collected at a gate that accepts cash, debit, and credit cards. Race bibs are available for pick up at the location one hour before the start. Registration remains open until the day of the event, with on-site registration available during the hour preceding the start. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
