Event overview
The Last Hour is part of the Happy Hour Friday Night Series and takes place on August 21, 2026 at Vanderwater Conservation Area in Thomasburg, Ontario. The event is an 8 km trail run on gently rolling terrain. The course runs through pine groves, old boulder fields and along the Moira River. Trails are described as generously wide.
Logistics and race details
Parking at Vanderwater uses a paid gate; the fee is $6 and the gate accepts cash, debit and credit. There are no aid stations on course; water and porta-potties are available at the start/finish area and a porta-potty is located in the main parking lot. Bibs can be picked up beginning one hour before the event and same-day registration is offered at that time for $30. Timing is manual and results are posted to the event Facebook pages within 24 hours. There are no placement awards or medals for individual finishes; participants who complete all three Happy Hour races receive a custom Dirty Soles medal and prize at The Last Hour.
