The Lap @ Robin Hill
The Lap is a looped trail event set within Robin Hill Country Park on the Isle of Wight. The course is a single 5 km loop that starts and finishes in the same place, and participants may complete as many laps as they choose.
The terrain is mixed trail: rolling ground, woodland singletrack, short climbs and faster runnable sections. Underfoot is rough in places and more flowing in others, so each lap offers changing conditions and repeated opportunities to settle into a rhythm.
There are entry formats for solo runners, pairs and small teams (3-5). Organisers provide a central endurance village around the start-finish area with live timing, coffee and shelter. Every lap returns to this camp where participants can refuel, rest and continue. Spectators, supporters and families are welcome to attend.
The event is offered in two time-limited options: 12-hour and 6-hour participation windows. Each lap counts toward a total distance, allowing entrants to aim for distances such as a first half marathon, a first marathon or longer endurance goals by repeating the loop.
