The Hoot Half Marathon & 10k Trail Race
The Hoot Half Marathon & 10k Trail Race takes place on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at the Rocks and Roots Trail in Alum Creek State Park, Lewis Center, Ohio. The event comprises trail distance options listed below.

The course uses the Rocks and Roots Trail. The north loop is run first in a clockwise direction for the initial 10K, the south loop follows in a counter-clockwise direction for the next 10K, and an additional roughly 0.7 mile loop completes the half marathon. Course layout is subject to change. The race start is located just off Hollenback Road, just south of the dog park (3993 Hollenback Rd, Lewis Center, OH 43035).
Packet pickup is held at Fleet Feet Sports in Lewis Center on the Friday and Saturday before the event during normal business hours. Race day packet pickup is available at the race site.
Registration fees vary by date: through May 31 $45; June 1 to June 30 $50; July 1 to July 31 $55; August 1 to August 31 $60; September 1 and race day $70. Races typically sell out two to six weeks before the event. The event has a NO REFUND and NO BIB TRANSFER policy. Registered participants receive an event shirt and an event medal.
