Event overview
The Hoot Half Marathon & 10k Trail Race takes place on September 6, 2026 in Lewis Center, Ohio. The event offers two trail race distances:

Races are held on the Rocks and Roots Trail at Alum Creek State Park. The race start is located just off Hollenback Road, just south of the dog park (3993 Hollenback Rd, Lewis Center, OH 43035).
Course and format
The course uses named loops on the Rocks and Roots Trail. The North Loop is run first in a clockwise direction for the first 10K. The South Loop follows in a counter-clockwise direction for the next 10K. An additional roughly 0.7 mile loop completes the half marathon. The course layout is subject to change.
Entry, fees and packet pick-up
Entry fees vary by registration period, with listed prices from $45 through $70 depending on the date of registration. The event has a no refund and no bib transfer policy. Packet pick-up is available at Fleet Feet Sports in Lewis Center before the event during normal business hours, and at the race site on race day.
