The Halfling - 5K+
The Halfling - 5K+ is an in-person, all-ages running event organized by Whittenberg Country School at Whittenberg Country School in Red Bluff, CA. The event is a fundraiser for the Whittenberg Schoolhouse Project and offers free parking. It is presented as a roughly three-hour occasion and includes options for participants who prefer not to run on the road.

Ticket pricing varies by purchase date. Advance and day-of prices are listed separately for youth (ages 4-14) and adults. The quarter-mile loop option has a lower advance price and a higher day-of price; each lap is a quarter-mile and participants may complete as many laps as they wish to approximate 5K. There is also an optional "Elevenses" luncheon priced at $10 that includes a hamburger or hotdog with chips and a drink. Family Ticket and Family Lunch Packages are offered for immediate families at set prices and are available until March 11. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the event; in the event of postponement due to weather or other circumstances, tickets will be honored on the rescheduled date or refunded.
