The Grove MGM 5K Run/Walk
The Grove MGM 5K Run/Walk takes place on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at The Grove MGM, 559 S Hull Street, Montgomery, AL. The event starts and finishes at The Grove MGM and uses a course through the historic streets of downtown Montgomery.
The Grove MGM is celebrating its first year in Montgomery. The organization supports young women transitioning out of foster care in Alabama by providing dignified, affordable housing and support to bridge the gap between the foster care system and independent living. Event proceeds assist with maintenance of the renovated space and sponsorship of current and future residents.
Race logistics note that packet pickup for bibs and shirts is available only on race day; attendees should arrive by 7:30 AM to collect their materials. Parking instructions will be provided closer to the event date. The course passes downtown landmarks including the Alabama State Capitol, the Rosa Parks Bus Stop and Court Square Fountain, the Rosa Parks Museum and Davis Theater, the National Memorial for Peace and Justice, and the Mothers of Gynecology Park.
After the 5K, the site offers an outdoor gathering area with refreshments from sponsors, coffee, snacks, and a food truck. Grove Books operates on the lower level with a collection focused on compassion, healing, empathy, and transformation. All finishers receive a participant medal.
