The Great Highnam Court Run
The Great Highnam Court Run is a running event on 14 March 2027 held at Highnam Court Cricket Ground (Church Field) in the village of Highnam, on the outskirts of Gloucester. The venue sits within the private grounds of the Highnam Court estate, which are usually closed to the public.
The course is a scenic, mixed-terrain route through the estate. It begins in Church Field, loops around Holy Innocents Churchyard, crosses open fields and enters landscaped estate grounds. The route passes alongside lakes, gardens and parkland, goes past the rose garden and follows woodland paths with sculptures and ponds. The final stretch returns along a footpath to Church Field. The 5K is one lap and the 10K is two laps. The terrain includes grass, paths and uneven ground in places. A water station is available approximately halfway through each lap.
On arrival, runners register to collect a race number and timing tag. There is a bag drop at the cricket pavilion and toilets and changing facilities in nearby village halls. Food and drink vendors will be present. First aiders and marshals will be on site. All runners receive a finisher’s medal, a reusable cup and an official finishing time. Trophies are awarded to top finishers and to the top team. The event supports Highnam Court Cricket Club and local community facilities.
