Event overview
The GIANT 5K Memorial Day Run/Walk is a non-timed 5k moto-run/walk held on May 25, 2026 in Indianapolis, IN (1200 N Girls School Rd, 46214). The event is organized by the Ben Davis High School Marine Corps JROTC as a fundraiser to support the program's Drill, Rifle and Raider teams in their efforts to compete at the national level. Entry fee for the event is $20. Registration opens February 28, 2026.
Route and race services
The moto-run is a military-style formation run with cadets calling cadences; participants may run with the formation, run independently, or join and leave the formation as they wish. The route runs on the school campus, primarily on hard surface with some grass terrain alongside it. Cadets will be positioned along the route at water stations to guide and motivate participants. Medics will be onsite and local military recruiters from all branches will be available to provide information. Paid participants who ordered a t-shirt will receive it at check in; additional shirts will be available for purchase while supplies last.
