The First Tri Lydney
The First Tri Lydney is an indoor pool based triathlon held at Freedom Leisure Centre in Lydney, Gloucestershire. The event offers both sprint and Olympic distance formats and includes individual and relay entry options. Parking is free on site.
The event uses a 25 m heated pool and a secure transition area. The bike course is a left turn only route and the run route is described as scenic. All finishers receive a medal. Prize categories are male and female.
Distances available:
- Sprint: 400 m pool swim, 20 km bike, 5 km run
- Olympic: 750 m pool swim, 38 km bike, 10 km run
Race administration notes include on poolside race briefings when race chips are issued and that swim start waves are organised. Participants are asked to be present at the poolside shortly before their swim wave and to familiarise themselves with the bike and run courses in advance.
