The Exploration Challenge
The Exploration Challenge takes place on 18 July 2026 at Geelbek in the West Coast National Park near Langebaan in the Western Cape. The event is organised by Fundraising West Coast National Park and lists a typical age range of 12 and above.

- 20 km Trail Run (distance will depend on route)
Certain classes support team entries; teams must consist of two participants. The listed entry fee for the available classes is R 375.00 per person and is shown as Early Bird in the event information.
Entry to the West Coast National Park is via the gate on the R27 or via Langebaan. Participants are instructed to follow signs to Geelbek and marshals along the route. Due to a 50 km/h speed limit inside the park, travel from the park gates to Geelbek takes about 20 minutes.
