The Donut Dash 5K in Buchanan
The Donut Dash 5K is the third annual running event hosted by the Haralson County Sheriff’s Foundation on August 1, 2026. The 5K route runs in and around downtown Buchanan, Georgia, with the start and finish adjacent to the Buchanan-Haralson Public Library at 145 Van Wert St.
This event serves as a fundraiser for youth programs run by the Haralson County Sheriff’s Foundation, including the C.H.A.M.P.S Program, the Car Seat Program, and the Cadets program. Registration opens March 8, 2026 and closes July 26, 2026. The pre-race registration fee is $30; registrants who register by July 26 are eligible to guarantee a T-shirt size and the reduced fee. Race day registration fee is $40.
Pre-registration packet pick-up is scheduled for Friday, July 31 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Haralson County Sheriff’s Office, 137 Hayes-Glass Dr., Breman, GA 30110. Race day registration and packet pick-up are available in downtown Buchanan. Awards are planned for top overall and masters finishers and for top three finishers in multiple age categories, including 14 and under through 70 and over.
