The Dam Melon Run 5K
The Dam Melon Run is a community 5K held in Saline, Louisiana on July 11, 2026 as part of the Watermelon Festival. The event is based at 1255 Cooper Street, Saline, LA 71070. Day-of registration will be available at Saline High School and the race starts across the street at Magnolia Baptist Church.
Registration opens April 24, 2026 and closes July 11, 2026. The registration fee is $20. All proceeds benefit the Storehouse of Saline Food Pantry.
Awards are presented immediately after the race. First, second, and third place awards are given in the following age groups: 0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. In addition to age-group awards there are special awards for male and female overall winners and for Master (40-49), Grand Master (50-59), Senior Master (60-69), and Legend (70+).
