The Cougar Run

The Cougar Run is the fourth edition of a family friendly 5K event hosted by Champlain College Lennoxville on August 21, 2026. The route circles the campus and features colour stations where participants may be showered with non toxic, cornstarch based powder. The powder is washable; volunteers are instructed to throw colour below the head and participants are advised to wear sunglasses or goggles if concerned about eye exposure.

The event is a fundraiser for the college food security program, an initiative to improve access to food for students facing financial challenges to support their wellbeing, learning, and academic success.

Registration includes admission, a Cougar Paw temporary tattoo, a race bib, water, and snacks. Ticket categories listed are Cougar Runner adults 35$, Cougar Racer students 10$ (student ID may be requested), Cougar Cub ages 12 and under 10$, and Mini Cougar ages 5 and under free. All sales are final unless the event is cancelled by the College.

The run is untimed; the course typically takes about 20 minutes to run or about an hour to walk. Toilets are located in the Champlain Building next to the start and finish area. Parking is available in P1 and P2 and is free as of 5:00 p.m. Pets are not permitted on the course and participants must complete the course on foot.
